Job Overview

As a Fragrance Sales Associate, you create a warm, welcoming environment through genuine hospitality and exceptional customer service. You engage customers with personalized fragrance recommendations that reflect their style, mood, and preferences - making them feel confident, valued, and inspired. Both a beauty enthusiast and product expert, you demonstrate and sell a wide range of fragrances and related beauty products, while educating customers on notes, layering techniques, and usage.

You contribute to a seamless shopping experience by fostering meaningful connections, anticipating needs, and delivering service with care.

Daily Responsibilities
  • Begin each day energized and ready to make an impact. Wear name badge with pride, greet teammates with a warm hello, help ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and prepared for customers.
  • Review sales goals, learn about new arrivals and top-selling items, stay up to date on current trends and promotions, and be fully informed and ready to engage, educate, and sell with confidence.
  • On the floor, focus on the customer – offer a warm welcome, make eye contact, and create friendly, personal conversations to build lasting relationships.
  • Maintain a shoppable space by merchandising new receipts, processing damages, testers, and select merchandise to return to vendors, updating signs and pricing, and supporting any needed merchandise moves.
  • Finish strong – share Loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have all they need, and end with a sincere thank-you, often walking the package around and using the customer's name.
  • Support one another with honesty, care, and collaboration to better serve customers and communities.
  • Strive for excellence – take pride in work, achieve sales goals, learn from each other to deliver individual and store results.
  • Work full-time (30+ hrs) or part‑time (12‑24 hrs) with weekend shifts required; hours vary by business needs and availability.
Who You Are
  • Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Must be able to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co‑workers, and supervisors.
  • Read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English.
  • Engage customers with warmth and expertise by acknowledging them promptly, assessing preferences, demonstrating fragrances, and offering tailored recommendations.
  • Drive sales and loyalty by using clienteling tools to build lasting relationships, promote new launches and events, and collaborate across the Beauty team.
  • Maintain a polished and efficient environment through accurate merchandising, inventory upkeep, hygiene and compliance standards, and effective use of point‑of‑sale and mobile selling technology.
  • Communicate and collaborate comfortably with customers and colleagues.
  • Acquire new customers by opening credit accounts and sharing loyalty benefits.
  • Meet and surpass daily sales goals by delivering exceptional service.
  • Use point‑of‑sale technology and digital tools to streamline transactions and enhance the shopping experience.
  • Have at least 1 year of customer service or selling experience.
Essential

Physical Requirements
  • Talk, lift, constantly move, stand, and reach with arms and hands.
  • Stand for at least two consecutive hours, lift at least 25 lbs, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders; reach, including above eye level.
  • Have good vision — color, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash register, to process transactions.
