What you’ll be doing

As a full‑time Verizon Retail Sales Associate, you will grow your career with a team focused on unlocking your full potential and sales success within one of our retail stores. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Generate retail sales by using your passion for cutting‑edge technology and exceptional customer service to expand the Verizon network.
  • Learn and uncover customers’ needs by creating connections and asking the right questions.
  • Provide product insights and solution recommendations to complete a full top‑down sales solution for customers.
  • Close sales using superb communication skills to meet customer needs with simple, intuitive tech solutions.
  • Continuously develop yourself through ongoing training and up‑skill in operational functions across merchandising and inventory.
  • Build your customer base by placing outbound calls and sending text messages to current Verizon customers interested in our products and services.
  • Engage with the community outside of the store to expand your loyal customer base at off‑site Verizon‑sponsored events.

We’re hiring immediately! This is not a typical entry‑level retail position. Whether you’re just starting out or have years of sales experience, you can earn $16.00 to $21.00 per hour in base pay, plus up to $18,000 a year in individual‑based commissions if you hit all your sales goals. Top performers can earn an extra $14,500 or more in commissions, giving you the chance to earn a total of $65,000+ to $75,500+ annually.

Compensation varies by geography, hours worked, and performance.

What we’re looking for

You’ll need to have:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (you’ll know your schedule four weeks in advance).
  • Openness to pick up additional shifts and earn more income, typically during summer months, November through December, and/or during peak vacation periods.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Experience working in a commission‑based environment.
  • Demonstrated sales experience communicating with customers to find solutions.
  • Customer service experience.
Bilingual fluency

English and Spanish fluency are required.
