Full-Time Retail Sales Associate

$10.00 to $14.00 per hour.

We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process.

Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, averaging an additional $1.74 per hour on top of the hourly rate.

• The best working hours in the business. Most stores open at 9 AM and close at 6 PM; many stores are closed on Sundays.

• Vacation:
  Employees are granted one week of paid vacation after completing six months of active, full-time service. Eligible employees receive an additional week after one year of active employment and two weeks on each anniversary thereafter (subject to state/local requirements). 120 hours after five years.
• Sick/Personal:
  Eligible employees are granted 8 hours (after 6 months) to be used before the first anniversary and 16 hours each subsequent anniversary (years 2-5) (subject to state/local requirements). 24 hours after five years.

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides. A Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions. They thrive on engaging with customers and assisting with inquiries and problem resolution.

The associate works with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

The full-time Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate position offers an hourly wage, plus employees earn commission based on productivity. Pay will vary based on location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non-management open/close procedures.
• Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and displays merchandise.
• Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items per established policies and regulatory requirements.
• Answers incoming calls according to company standards.
• Effectively communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
• Successfully completes assigned training.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to perform duties and tasks for extended periods of time, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
• May be asked to assist a customer on the exterior of the building or retrieve products stored in exterior storage.
• Minimum age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
• Cash handling experience is preferred.
• Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Must be able to work a flexible retail schedule based on business needs, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers can earn 2-8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. More details provided during the interview process.
