Supervisor Construction - Telecom

Responsible for managing telecommunication construction crews; ensuring installation, maintenance, and/or repair of equipment safely, timely, and accurately. Requires a good working knowledge of telecommunications construction and supervising people, familiarity with equipment, and problem‑solving ability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and lead crews to complete installation, maintenance, and/or repair of telecommunications equipment and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and safety in the completion of daily production goals
  • Supervise day‑to‑day activities and progress, establish guidance on execution and ensure compliance with predetermined deliverables
  • Coordinate with team to invoice jobs in a timely manner
  • Ensure all safety policies, OSHA, DOT, and special project requirements are followed by each crew assignment
  • Report any on‑the‑job employee incidents or vehicle incidents, including job damage, employee injury, and vehicle accidents
  • Communicate professionally with employees, contractors, vendors, and customers to assist in an assigned area, department, or project
  • Identify and correct issues and risks, and assist in developing response plans to resolve challenges in completing a project
  • Responsible for training and mentoring the team
  • Manage equipment repair and maintenance in partnership with the safety and fleet teams
  • Interface with customers frequently to discuss needs and goals
Qualifications
  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company
  • Pass a background check and company drug screening
  • Valid state driver’s license (non‑provisional) with an acceptable driving record
  • Experience working in telecommunications or utility construction
  • Proven leadership experience guiding employees to produce high‑quality results and teamwork
  • Any combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates ability to perform the designated job duties and responsibilities
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions, and resolve problems with multiple variables
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret documents such as safety rules, machine manuals, and process procedures; write reports and speak effectively to customers, coworkers, and vendors
Physical Abilities & Exposures
  • Routinely work in the elements; at heights; occasional entry into crawl spaces and remote locations; operate vehicle and heavy machinery; perform repetitive motions such as squeezing, fine hand motion, bending, stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 55 pounds without assistance
  • Occasionally use ladder, keyboard, mouse, and office equipment
