Essential Functions- Teach assigned courses in the classroom in transfer and/or developmental composition. Teaching assignments may include evening courses and teaching via alternative delivery systems such as ITV, online, and off‑campus.
- Recruit students to English courses.
- Plan, implement, and sponsor appropriate activities to supplement instruction.
- Assist in selecting textbooks, developing curricula, completing reports, tracking and entering assessment data.
- Maintain records and files as requested by the Department Chairperson and/or the Vice President of Academic Affairs.
- Serve actively on institutional committees.
- Arrive on time for work, attend work regularly, and successfully complete the responsibilities of the position.
- Comply with Hutch
CC policies, procedures, and practices.
- May advise prospective and enrolled students in proper curricula.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Department Chairperson with input from the Vice President of Academic Affairs or as specified in the local Master Agreement.
