WORKDETAILS
This position will be based out of our downtown Hutchinson branch at 129 West Avenue A or our 23rd and Severance branch at 900 E 23rd Ave.
Availability is required for 36 to 40 hours per week during the following hours:
Monday through Thursday from 7:45 a.m. to 5:45 p.m., Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 6:15 p.m., and rotating Saturdays from 8:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
As a reminder, this role does not include evenings or Sundays.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Greets customers entering the branch, directs them to the correct staff member for assistance and provides assistance with ATM usage, coin counting machine, safety deposit boxes and other branch services.
- Responsible for providing excellent customer service while performing a variety of paying and receiving functions including processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashiers' checks, money orders, and cash advances.
- Verifies cash totals and balances each day's transactions.
- Educates members on credit union products and services.
- Balances ATM machines, coin counters, and cash dispensing/recycling machines in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensures members are promptly and professionally served.
- Attends meetings and training sessions as required.
- Provides superior service to our members.
- Proactively supports and advances HCU's brand platform.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Previous customer service and cash handling experience preferred.
- Experience working in a financial institution is helpful but not required.
- Proficient with technology and a variety of software including MS Office:
Word, Excel and Outlook. - Well organized and attentive to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to move 30 lbs. occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. frequently.
- Stationary for extended periods of time.
