Credit Union Facility Operations Director

Direct the operations of a remote Credit Union facility, ensuring the branch meets organizational financial, operational, service, and growth plans.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Monitors all branch activities to ensure they are in compliance with established Credit Union policies and procedures.
  • Underwrites consumer loans; reviews loan underwriting decisions of subordinate staff.
  • Monitors branch operating results relative to established objectives and ensures that appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions.
  • Represents the Branch as appropriate in its relationships with members, sponsor organizations(s), suppliers, other financial institutions, and similar groups. Develops new sponsor organizations and business within the immediate community.
  • Maintains communications with main office; prepares and submits standard reports; attends scheduled management meetings.
  • Direct, develop, motivate, hire and coach employees through one-on-one conversations at least monthly; administer performance reviews and recommend appropriate personnel actions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Employees shall be trained annually, demonstrate an understanding of and follow the requirements of the BSA/AML Compliance Program as it specifically relates to their job.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Experience:

    Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
  • Education:

    (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
  • Interpersonal

    Skills:

    Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
  • Other

    Skills:

    Strong organizational and analytical skills. Good judgment and problem solving skills. Good oral and written communication skills. General PC skills in word processing and spreadsheets. Ability to handle and monitor multiple tasks.
  • Physical Requirements:

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop kneel, crouch, crawl; talk or hear.

    The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Work Environment:
    Office position; works indoors year-round; may be exposed to indoor temperature adjustments; heating and cooling vents distribute regulated air.
