HACCP Technician
Join our team in the Prepared Foods Division as an HACCP Technician, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
- Performing physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems.
- Documenting and calculating results accurately.
- Taking corrective action when necessary, such as alerting appropriate personnel to adjust processes, identifying, segregating, and isolating non-conforming products, and reporting results to management.
- Handling additional assignments as requested.
At Tyson Foods, safety is paramount. This includes both personal safety and food safety.
Shift/Pay
This position works 2nd shift. This position pays $24.60 per hour and is paid weekly!
Working Conditions- Environment:
Normal for a food manufacturing setting. - Physical Requirements:
Involves lifting materials and products up to 75 pounds. - Safety Equipment:
Use of steel-toed work boots, hardhats, safety glasses, hairnets, beard nets (if applicable), and smocks is required. - Restrictions:
Cell phones and jewelry are not permitted on the factory floor.
Requirements:
Education:
High school diploma or GED.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year experience in the food manufacturing industry OR related Quality Assurance type experience.
Communication
Skills:
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Special
Skills:
- Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork.
- Ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce.
- Good problem identification and problem-solving skills.
- Math and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
- Must function well under stress.
- Must have flexibility to work where and when needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be willing and able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to stand on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day
- Must work in cold/hot temperatures typically ranging from 30-90 degrees Fahrenheit
- Must be able to work in wet environment
- Repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, pushing and pulling
- Must be able to reach high and low levels frequently
- Ability to climb step ladders and or stairs
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Position will require Lock Out Tag Out certification
