Job Summary:

Responsible for operating and troubleshooting digital printers to reach and maintain maximum production efficiencies. Produces quality printed signs and accurately interprets, documents, and communicates diagnostic feedback from the machine.

Essential Functions:

Follow safety procedures and practices outlined on the Safety Placard for each piece of equipment

Set up and operate digital printers

Perform color matching of printed signs

Use and manipulate computer software related to digital color control, page imposition, production queues, and output

Collect and inspect random samples during print runs to identify necessary adjustments

Verify the blank and ink meet the job traveler

Load presses with blanks and make adjustments according to metal size

Operate press and pull proofs to check ink coverage/density, alignment, registration

Practice printing safety procedures

Meet strict production deadlines while maintaining quality work

Work Environment

Heated/cooled production atmosphere

Cement floor; anti-fatigue mats provided

Clean working environment

Might work around moving mechanical parts

Will be working with chemicals; PPE required at times

Physical Demands

Average or better eyesight and color recognition

Able to stand for entire work period (including overtime if needed)

Occasional walking, change of position, reaching (including across midline), handling, fingering, feeling

Occasional lifting 20–50 lbs; frequent lifting 10–25 lbs

Frequent hand and simple grasp

Expected Hours of Work:

Full-time;
Monday–Friday. Hours may vary by department and shift. Additional hours may be required to meet customer deadlines.
