Job Title: CNC Programmer
Location: Wichita, KS
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Employment Type: Full-Time Consultant

As a CNC Programmer, you'll play a critical role in supporting aerospace manufacturing operations by developing and optimizing CNC programs that produce complex, high-precision aircraft components. Your expertise will directly contribute to manufacturing efficiency, product quality, and the continued advancement of aviation technology.

What You’ll DoAs a key member of the manufacturing team, you will:
Program a variety of CNC manufacturing equipment, including:
3-axis and 5-axis machining centers
CNC lathes
CNC routers
Use CAD/CAM systems to convert engineering drawings and change orders into machine-ready G-code.
Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Ensure all machine programs reflect current engineering revisions and specifications.
Program future production jobs while supporting active machining operations.
Review and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T requirements.
Inspect and evaluate production parts to ensure compliance with blueprint specifications.
Complete all required programming, production, and process documentation accurately and on time.
Support the design, construction, repair, and improvement of fixtures, jigs, and specialty tooling.
Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance activities for manufacturing equipment as needed.
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve technical challenges and improve manufacturing processes.
We’re looking for professionals who bring:
10+ years of CAD/CAM programming experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong ability to read and interpret:
Blueprints
Technical drawings
Engineering documentation
GD&T specifications
Experience programming CNC machining centers, lathes, and related manufacturing equipment.
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to precision manufacturing.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of machining equipment, tooling, machine operation, and basic maintenance practices.
Understanding of safe manufacturing and workplace practices.
Ability to interpret technical information and production requirements.
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles used to create precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Ideal candidates may also possess:
Aerospace or aviation manufacturing experience.
Experience programming complex 5-axis machining operations.
Knowledge of tooling and fixture design.
Continuous improvement and process optimization experience.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in a production environment.
Experience supporting high-precision, low-tolerance manufacturing operations.
