This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Quality Control Manager looking to oversee quality assurance across major construction projects in Cedar Rapids, IA. The role involves managing inspections, documentation, testing, and compliance processes while collaborating with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities:- Manage all quality control and quality assurance activities throughout the project lifecycle
- Perform inspections to ensure work complies with project specifications, drawings, and applicable codes
- Develop and maintain QA/QC documentation, inspection reports, and testing records
- Coordinate material testing, equipment calibration, and internal quality audits
- Work closely with project managers, field teams, subcontractors, and clients to resolve quality issues
- Prepare project submittals and quality reports as required
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Support government inspections and maintain audit-ready documentation
- Monitor corrective actions and drive continuous quality improvements
- Assist project teams in delivering projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- 5+ years of Quality Control experience within commercial, industrial, or mission-critical construction
- Strong understanding of construction quality standards, engineering practices, and regulatory compliance
- Experience interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across multiple project teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent industry experience
- Data center or mission-critical construction experience is highly preferred
