Retail Store Processor (Hutchinson - #14)

Part-time Regular 2 Hutchinson, KS, US

Purpose of Position:
To provide general maintenance of the store, including all janitorial duties at the location and respond at the donation door, fulfilling Goodwill’s mission statement.

Supervision Received:
District Manager, Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager & Team Leader

Supervision Exercised:
None.

Organizational Responsibilities:
Work with individuals who have disabilities and/or barriers to employment and participate in the achievement of their goals, demonstrating a positive, role model and displaying commitment toward Goodwill's mission.

  • Sort through donations and place them into gender categories.
  • Sort all goods brought to the goods area into categories:
    Household, Games, Toys, Holiday items.
  • Hang clothing and textiles on racks, tag, quantity and gender, date.
  • Price good items in two places.
  • Salvage unusable donation and label as such “salvage”.
  • Separately price vintage and formal wear for sales floor.
  • Do weekly production reports.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attend meetings as required.

  • Support mission statement and activities of other departments.
  • Follow all safety policies and fire prevention procedures.

  • Adhere to all ethical standards and maintain confidentiality of records.
  • Responsible for safety and well-being of all employees.
  • Support the accessibility of services and facilities free of barriers to persons with disabilities and barriers to employment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Attendance and punctuality.
  • Quality and quantity of work performed.
  • Attitude and overall effectiveness of working relations with all stakeholders.
  • The manner in which duties and responsibilities, essential functions and job competencies are performed.
  • Supports and values diversity.
  • Relationships with supervisor, consumers, and coworkers.
  • Efficiency of operations in all areas of retail.
  • Accuracy of production records.
  • Knowledge of current prices of new goods at local retail stores.
  • Ability to be supportive of store needs.

Physical Strength:

  • Lift – push/pull while standing up to 50 pounds on a daily basis (sometimes over 100 pounds).
  • Carry – push/pull while moving up to 50 pounds on a daily basis (sometimes up to 100 pounds).
