Job Summary

No remote option; must work at a specified Cox location. Compensation:
Variable hourly pay rate between $15.29 and $22.88 per hour, plus an annual incentive/commission target of $15,348.00. Cox Communications is looking for a Retail Sales Associate who creates memorable customer experiences and drives sales while making customers feel special.

• Explain and demonstrate product capabilities and offer suggestions based on customers’ wants and needs.
• Meet or exceed targets regarding customer experience, sales, and retention.
• Assist with opening and closing the retail store environment.
• Properly handle cash.
• Engage in workshops, special events, and product demos.
• Support fellow sales agents when needed.
• Continuously expand knowledge of current Cox products as well as competitor offerings by participating in regular training classes.
• May be required to work in other locations within the same geographical area.

• Variable targeted total compensation of $49,668 per year ($23.88 per hour), with top earners averaging $63,655 per year ($30.60 per hour).
• Full‑time hourly base rate of $16.50 per hour plus monthly targeted commissions of $1,279.
• Ramp period of up to two months to adjust to commission earnings.

• Minimum:
  High school diploma, GED, or up to two years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to meet established sales, retention, and customer experience targets.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for consultative, solutions‑based selling.
• Ability to build relationships and adapt to a diverse customer base.
• Multi‑task and prioritize in a fast‑paced, service‑oriented team environment.
• Mobility within the store for long periods of time to greet customers and demonstrate products.
• Computer literacy with an aptitude for learning communication products, services, and accessories.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Ability to lift 25–50 pounds for managing stock room inventory.
• Preferred:
  Some college experience focused on sales, business, and/or management; one year of relevant experience (e.g., sales, retail sales, service industry); experience selling wireless/mobile products; fluency in Spanish (written and spoken).
