Overview of the Role
As an electrician at Vaulted, you will be responsible for performing skilled level electrical work in the installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment at Vaulted's facility. These processes should occur in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that operations can occur and resume safely. You will routinely inspect electrical systems and equipment to ensure its operating safety and efficacy and effectively communicate its status to the team.
Ultimately, your work as a Vaulted Electrician will slow climate change by sequestering organic waste that removes harmful Green House Gases (GHGs) from the atmosphere that would otherwise pollute the environment and local communities.

As an electrician at Vaulted, your work will help to slow climate change and safeguard your community. By maintaining and repairing electrical systems, controls, and equipment on our machinery that takes organic waste polluting the surrounding environment (i.e., excess manure from farms), your work will help to clean up and protect your community.
Responsibilities of this role are as follows (and others that may not be listed):
- Assess electrical equipment (transformers, circuit breakers, pumps, screens, motors, switch fear) of our machinery if/when it malfunctions to best diagnose the problem. Promptly troubleshoot to make repairs to the electrical systems when needed
- Critically problem solve to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency of the equipment onsite
- Test repaired electrical systems (with appropriate testing devices) on machinery/equipment to ensure it is completed to National Electric Code state and local regulations
- Read technical diagrams and blueprints of assembly and parts drawings
- Communicate with operators, supervisors, and mechanic(s) to relay electrical disruptions/errors, timelines for repair, and effect on operations
- Routinely conduct preventative inspection of the electrical systems of Vaulted's machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure its operating safety and efficiency
- Keep accurate and detailed records of serviced electrical systems, equipment, and control for organized and accessible history of machine and system health/repairs
- Comply with safety, health, and environmental guidelines of the facility
- Participate in ongoing training and company-sponsored meetings
This position requires roughly 40 hours of work per week with flexibility across all 7 days of the week. Candidates must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holiday hours as needed.
What You Will Bring
To succeed in this role, and to help the company to succeed in our mission, the Electrician should:
- Have a high school diploma or G.E.D.
- Have an Associate's degree in Industrial Electrical Technology or related electrical field
- A valid Kansas Driver's License without major moving violations for insurability requirements
- Have at least 2 years of experience working as an electrician in an apprenticeship, maintaining, assessing, and repairing electrical systems. Working at facilities with heavy equipment and machinery is preferred
- An electrical license in the state of Kansas preferred
