Wastewater Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift - Hutchinson, KS

Job Overview

Responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

• Perform a wide range of mechanical troubleshooting and repairs on production and plant equipment.
• Perform single‑phase and three‑phase electrical troubleshooting and repairs on production and plant equipment.
• Operate and maintain wastewater collection or pre‑treatment systems.
• Conduct fabrication and welding duties as needed.
• Read and follow instructions, complete required paperwork, and wear necessary safety equipment.
• Read electrical schematics and work with hazardous chemicals.
• Perform all other duties as assigned and communicate effectively at all levels of the team, including management.

• 1 year of industrial maintenance experience and/or industrial maintenance education combined.
• Knowledge of control voltage, pneumatics, hydraulics, and three‑phase wiring is helpful.
• Wastewater experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more and work in varying temperatures (28–100°F).
• Willingness to move between production areas and climb ladders, change work levels, twist, and squat as needed.
• Must be able and willing to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

2ND SHIFT (United States of America)

Competitive pay; $5,000 sign‑on bonus paid in two installments (up to 90 days and up to 180 days). 401(k) plan, health, life, dental, vision, and prescription drug benefits; paid time off. Relocation assistance not available.
