Administrative Assistant
Hutchinson Public School District is seeking an Administrative Assistant at Hutchinson High School for the school year and beyond. The Administrative Assistant will work efficiently and effectively to provide support and assistance to students, staff and the public. This includes assisting with duties and responsibilities to maintain an efficient school office in accordance with the District mission statement in an effort to continually improve ISD
423 services. This position will work 189 days per year, 8 hours per day. The salary range for this position is $19.89 per hour - $22.39 per hour. Salary is dependent upon education and experience. Responsibilities include MARSS, attendance & student membership recordkeeping, attendance hourly, appointments, illness adds/drops and year-end reports, help students in nurse's absence, deliver passes, packages to students, assist with ALC registration and assistance as assigned (applies only to HS), receptionist duties, greet visitors, answer or direct public as required, assist staff, parents and students, answer phones, take messages, transfer calls, maintain security by monitoring visitor check-in, organize, copying, printing attendance/truancy/discipline letters, parent letters, assist with mailings, administrative assistance, provide assistance to the principal and asst.
principal, teachers and staff as requested, assist building administration with accurate communications to staff, students, and families, student locker assignments, maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of any information regarding students, personnel and all job-related matters, other duties as assigned. Essential skills: proficiency in computer software including Google (Gmail, Docs, Sheets), Microsoft (Word, Excel) and Infinite Campus.
Education requirements:
