Jay Malone Motors is looking for an experienced Automotive Light Maintenance Technician to perform routine and light maintenance tasks on vehicles within our dealership. This role supports the service department by handling minor repairs, preventative maintenance, and vehicle inspections. While prior automotive technician experience is required, we provide on-the-job training to familiarize you with our specific processes and standards.
$5,000 Retention Bonus after 1 Year Anniversary!
Key Responsibilities:- Perform light automotive maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, fluid top-offs, battery replacements, and minor mechanical repairs.
- Assist service technicians by preparing vehicles for service or delivery.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic diagnostics.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, including tools and equipment.
- Report any major mechanical or safety issues to the Service Manager or lead technician.
- Follow dealership and manufacturer service procedures and safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Assist with inventory management of parts and supplies as needed.
- Prior experience as an automotive technician or in a related maintenance role is required.
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems including brakes, tires, fluids, batteries, and minor engine repairs.
- Ability to use hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop technology safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Ability to lift, stand, and work in various physical positions for extended periods.
- Valid driver's license.
