Special Education Teacher Positions
Hutchinson Public Schools is seeking two special education teachers for West Elementary and Tiger Elementary buildings for the school year and beyond. These positions will work with students at both schools. It is preferred that candidates hold an ABS, ASD or EBD licensure from the Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB) or contact the district for licensure options. The salary range for this position is $49,048.00 per year - $91,357.00 per year.
Salary is dependent upon education and experience. These positions will work 183 days per year, 8 hours per day. Benefits include: paid personal days, sick leave, health, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, VEBA plan with employer contribution, and retirement plan with employer contribution (TRA & 403B).
West Elementary is located on the west side of Hutchinson and serves students pre-K through 1st grade. West is a unique building where we educate the Districts' first learners Preschool, Kindergarten, and First Graders. There is a wonderful energy in the building, and families love the West experience. We are excited to provide quality curriculum based on research, best practice, and state standards.
West Elementary offers small class sizes, enrichment, before school and summer programs, on-site media center, technology opportunities including iPads and Chromebooks, small group differentiated instruction in reading and math, Creative Curriculum (PreK), Music-Art-PE-STREAM classes, and a family friendly atmosphere.
Tiger Elementary School serves students in second and third grade. Our exceptional staff provides students with consistent, research-based instruction tailored to their unique needs. Grade-level teams collaborate with specialists in Music, Physical Education, STREAM, and Art, as well as Enrichment, Special Education, and Title 1, to create a well-rounded program for all levels of learners. Additionally, extended-day and extended-year classes are offered.
