Pharmacy Technician
Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for routine duties in the hospital pharmacy, including the preparation and distribution of medications, and related clerical functions, under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Prepare and distribute medications under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, which may include non-hazardous and hazardous sterile compounding
- Procure and receive medications
- Perform clerical functions related to the preparation, distribution, procurement and receipt of medications
- Assure proper storage conditions for medications and manage inventory to maintain in-date product
- Perform all other related duties as assigned
- Completion of MN Board of Pharmacy‑accepted pharmacy technician training program, or willingness to complete training on site within 12 months of hire.
- Ongoing continuing education per MN Board of Pharmacy requirements
- Willing to be registered as a pharmacy technician with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy upon hire if not already registered.
- Pharmacy Technician certification by national certification board(s)
- Pharmacy or medical experience preferred
- Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and precision
- Ability to learn new computer system and technology
