Sr Network Administrator

Overview

The City of Hutchinson is seeking applications to fill a full-time Sr Network Administrator position. This position is a technical leadership role supporting both the City of Hutchinson and Hutchinson Utilities Commission. Reporting to the IT Director, this position oversees and strengthens network and cybersecurity programs while providing guidance and backup support to the Network Administrator and IT Technician.

• Develop and maintain cybersecurity strategies; ensure compliance with state, federal, and industry standards.
• Secure SCADA systems for water, wastewater, gas, and electric utilities; monitor networks for threats.
• Manage incident response, training, and disaster recovery planning.
• Provide guidance and backup support to the Network Administrator and IT Technician.
• Support server infrastructure, backups, Microsoft Windows environments, and IT projects.
• Assist police departments with digital evidence and mobile technology systems.

• Degree in IT or related field with significant experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows servers, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and network security.
• Ability to work collaboratively under pressure with flexible hours.

Full Salary Range: $37.921/hr - $56.881/hr, starting wage depending on qualifications.
