Sr Network Administrator - Hutchinson

This position is a technical leadership role supporting both the City of Hutchinson & Hutchinson Utilities Commission. Reporting to the IT Director, this position oversees & strengthens network and cybersecurity programs while providing guidance and backup support to the Network Administrator and IT Technician. Key responsibilities include developing & maintaining cybersecurity strategies; ensuring compliance with state, federal, industry standards; securing SCADA systems for water, wastewater, gas/electric utilities;

monitoring networks for threats; managing incident response, training, disaster recovery planning. The role also supports server infrastructure, backups, Microsoft Windows environments, and IT projects, as well as assisting police departments with digital evidence and mobile technology systems.

Qualified candidates will have a degree in IT or related field with significant experience, strong knowledge of Windows servers, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and network security, and the ability to work collaboratively under pressure with flexible hours.
