Assist in providing behavioral and/or social/emotional skill support to students with disabilities in the school environment. Assist in implementing behavior intervention plans, as written, assist in delivering social skill instruction, and record/maintain behavioral and social skill data. Assist in providing crisis intervention, as needed. Work under the immediate direction of a certified teacher and general supervision of the campus principal.
Qualifications- Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED;
Valid Texas educational aide certificate or willing to obtain certificate; SAMA certification (or ability to obtain after hire) - Special Knowledge/
Skills:
Ability to work with children with disabilities;
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions;
Ability to communicate effectively;
Knowledge of general office equipment
Two years’ experience working with school-aged children preferred.
