Job Overview & Essential Functions
Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America’s largest Kenworth truck dealership and leasing group. The Branch Manager leads the day‑to‑day operation of the branch in compliance with company policies and procedures. The manager directs and controls all activities of the branch’s profit centers through department managers, staffs and trains department managers, formulates objectives, policies and programs, and ensures performance against targets.
- Assesses present and future branch needs, trends, problems, and profit opportunities.
- Establishes short‑ and long‑term operating and financial objectives aligned with company plans.
- Ensures approved policies and objectives are clearly understood and applied throughout the branch.
- Formulates annual and monthly business plans, sales/profit objectives, and expense budgets with department managers.
- Develops merchandising strategies and supervises sale of trucks, parts, and service.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintains communications within and between departments and holds individual conferences as needed.
- Establishes and maintains satisfactory customer and public relations; serves as final arbitrator between customers and department managers when necessary.
- Develops, trains, and appraises department managers; recommends compensation changes per company policy.
- Promotes safe work habits and ensures that safety rules are followed.
This position is designated as safety‑sensitive. Any employee performing duties while under the influence of marijuana or other illegal drugs may pose a health or safety risk.
Qualifications- Previous management experience.
- Thorough knowledge of all phases of branch operations.
- Direct truck sales experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership ability and decision‑making skills.
