Design Associate

Key Responsibilities

• Go to clients’ homes to discuss flooring projects.
• Use the company Sales System (tablet, laptop, and software) to record all information.
• Serve as the single point of contact for all customer requests.
• Coordinate installation schedules and communication with the Office Manager.
• Communicate customer needs and expectations to the Install Manager to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain customer relationships and develop referral sources for ongoing business.
• Participate in ongoing training and educational requirements; occasional travel may be required.

Self‑motivated, independent, strong communicator, highly organized, team‑player, willing to work evenings and weekends.

Flexible hours. Customer appointments last 1–3 hours; evenings and weekends may be needed. Workdays vary from day to day. Attendance at home improvement shows and local events is required.

Company supports membership in networking groups such as BNI and the Chamber of Commerce. Expenses are reimbursed. Commissions may be earned from sales generated through networking.

Base salary of $1,500 semi‑monthly ($36,000 annually). Additional commission on landed sales for each month. Guaranteed commissions for ramp‑up: first month $2,000, second and third month $1,500 each, fourth month $1,000. Base commission rate increases by 3% when leads are generated, repeat work or a referral appointment is requested.
