Position:
Team Lead, Operations (Overnights) – provides coordination and oversight of operational activities, under the supervision of the Operations Supervisor, for warehousing, receiving, and shipping to meet service and cost objectives. All associates are expected to meet company objectives in performance, safety, and quality and comply with corporate and site policies.
The Team Lead coordinates and oversees all daily operational activities as assigned. Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor, the Team Lead oversees associates engaged in warehousing, receiving, and shipping to meet company service and cost objectives.
As part of the DSV team, Associates are expected to meet objectives in performance, safety, and quality and comply with all policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Training Responsibilities: Mentor and train new and existing associates in distribution activities to meet customer demands; train in current Standard Operating Procedures (shipping, receiving, picking, quality control); assist in forklift operation and certification for new and existing associates.
- Shipping/Receiving Responsibilities: Oversee unloading of inbound shipments, stacking, picking and staging outbound shipments, and verify paperwork with drivers; load orders according to doors and trailers; ensure processes follow SOPs; research discrepancies.
- Customer Service: Conduct yourself professionally in appearance and communications; communicate with customers as needed; prepare activity reports for site management.
- Quality Control: Ensure product/orders are received/shipped correctly; verify quality standards and report damages or discrepancies; follow SOPs; participate in quality meetings.
- Safety, Housekeeping, and Compliance: Comply with ISO standards; execute safety protocols; maintain clean and orderly work areas; follow SOPs and safety rules; participate in safety meetings.
- Labor Management: Direct warehouse team to meet objectives; assist with productivity sheets and payroll hours; help maintain productive staffing levels; assist in scheduling and ensuring proper task assignment.
- Responsibilities and Authority: Participate in department meetings; act to prevent non-conformities and report issues to the Quality Department as needed; initiate corrective actions through designated channels.
- Equipment Operation: Operate equipment including forklifts and related tools; ensure equipment upkeep and certification; perform routine maintenance as needed; operate safely and efficiently.
- Maintenance: Perform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned.
- Other Duties: May perform clerical tasks, work evenings/weekends, and perform overtime as required; other duties as assigned.
- Education and/or Experience
:
High school diploma or GED; 1 year of experience in a logistics/distribution environment; ability to operate MHE; ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures. - Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations
:
Forklift training certification satisfactory completion.

Skills:
Basic computer skills; RF scanners; WMS functions. - Language
Skills:
English (reading, writing, verbal). - Mathematical
Skills:
Basic to intermediate ability to verify quantities, count inventory, and perform related tasks. - Other: Detail-oriented, self-motivated, effective at communication across organization levels, adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
- 2-4 years of experience in warehouse/logistics/distribution.
- 2-4 years of forklift experience.
- Current or prior MHE certification.
- Occasionally:
Hand & Finger manipulation, sitting, handling products. - Frequently:
Bending. - Constantly:
Walking and standing. - Ability to lift/carry 21-50 pounds; reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat or kneel.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITSFor this position, the expected base pay range is $56,142-$70,177 annually. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, FSAs/HSAs, disability coverage, 401(k) with company matching up to 5%, and paid time off and holidays. Specific PTO and leave programs vary by location and division.
