Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable, safety-focused CDL Driver / Sealcoat Crew Laborer to transport materials, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites while supporting asphalt maintenance and seal coating operations. This dual-role position is critical to ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule by providing timely deliveries and assisting with surface preparation, sealcoat application, equipment operation, and general labor.
The ideal candidate has a valid CDL, a clean driving record, experience operating commercial vehicles in a construction environment, and a strong work ethic with the ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (e.g., dump truck, flatbed, lowboy, or trailer) to transport materials, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites and company yards.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety, DOT compliance, and proper operating condition.
- Load, unload, and secure materials and equipment using proper methods, including chains, binders, tarps, and straps, to prevent shifting, damage, or injury.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage reports, inspection records, and other required documentation.
- Follow delivery schedules, GPS directions, and instructions from dispatch or supervisors.
- Prepare asphalt surfaces by cleaning, blowing, edging, and removing debris prior to sealcoat application.
- Assist with mixing, loading, and applying sealcoat material to parking lots, roadways, and driveways using spray systems, brushes, and squeegees.
- Assist with crack filling, line striping, pothole repairs, and other pavement maintenance services as needed.
- Set up and maintain safe work zones using cones, barricades, and signage.
- Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, hoses, and seal coating equipment; assist with equipment and job site cleanup at the end of each shift.
- Assist the crew with general labor and other job site tasks when deliveries are complete or as directed by the Foreman.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned vehicles, tools, and equipment.
- Follow all company safety policies, wear required PPE, and comply with DOT, state, and federal transportation regulations.
- Promptly report mechanical issues, delays, accidents, or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Work cooperatively with crew members, follow direction from the Foreman or Supervisor, and perform additional duties as assigned.
