Cath Lab Technologist Job Details
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,830–$3,040
  • Location: Hyannis, Massachusetts
  • Assignment Type: Travel healthcare assignment
  • Start Date: October 13, 2026
  • Duration: 13 weeks, ending January 9, 2027
  • Schedule: 40 hours per week with 8-hour shifts
  • Shift Times: Various starts between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., with shifts ending between 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
  • Call Requirement: Rotational call coverage for nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Healthcare Setting: Cardiovascular procedural area and interventional radiology environment
Cath Lab Technologist Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of radiology, cardiac catheterization, or special procedures experience following completion of technical training
  • Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • Current ARRT registration
  • Current Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist license
  • Current Basic Life Support certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
  • Successful completion of a basic arrhythmia assessment
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, radiation safety, interventional supplies, and imaging equipment operation
  • Interventional radiology experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of intra-aortic balloon pump procedures preferred
  • Ability to participate in required call coverage and wear lead protective equipment
Travel Cath Lab Technologist Responsibilities
  • Assist with invasive cardiovascular and interventional radiology procedures by scrubbing, circulating, monitoring, and recording hemodynamic parameters
  • Operate radiologic and interventional equipment to support high-quality imaging and patient safety
  • Acquire, process, and transfer images to the PACS system
  • Prepare, position, transfer, and support patients before and during procedures
  • Assist with diagnostic and interventional procedures involving vascular, peripheral, and nonvascular applications
  • Support procedures such as angiography, embolization, IVC filter placement, lytics, dialysis access procedures, PICC placement, biopsies, drains, and feeding tube procedures
  • Assist physicians with contrast administration during arterial, venous, and percutaneous procedures
  • Set up and turn over procedure rooms, tables, and sterile trays
  • Apply radiation safety principles, including shielding, exposure minimization, and proper use of protective equipment
  • Document supplies, implants, and other required procedural information
  • Perform equipment checks, daily safety inspections, cleaning, and maintenance reporting
  • Assist vascular surgeons and interventional radiologists in the operating room as needed
  • Provide appropriate patient education and consistently promote service excellence
  • Participate in departmental education, competency programs, and quality improvement initiatives
