Join a compassionate hospice care team as a Travel Registered Nurse in Hyannis, MA, providing skilled nursing care, pain and symptom management, and emotional support for patients and families across Cape Cod.

  • Type: Travel RN
  • Setting: Hospice / Visiting Nurse Association
  • Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  • Start Date: 09/14/2026
  • End Date: 12/12/2026
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,620 - $2,760
  • Patient Coverage Area: Cape Cod, including travel across the Cape to patient homes and facilities
Hospice Registered Nurse

Job Requirements
  • Current Massachusetts RN license
  • 2 years of Hospice RN experience required
  • Experience in hospice home care preferred
  • IV certification preferred
  • BSN preferred
  • Strong computer skills and comfort with electronic documentation
  • Successful completion of pre-hire medication testing
  • Excellent communication, organization, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload
Hospice RN Responsibilities
  • Provide skilled nursing care, supportive care, and symptom management for hospice patients
  • Assess patient status, identify changes, and respond appropriately in a timely manner
  • Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences as needed
  • Complete admissions, documentation, and related paperwork accurately and on time
  • Obtain and clarify valid physician orders for care delivered
  • Implement the plan of care under the direction of the attending physician
  • Educate patients, families, and care staff about hospice philosophy and care needs
  • Supervise hospice aides in accordance with regulations and agency standards
  • Communicate significant patient changes to the appropriate care providers
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care with professionalism and empathy
