Store Manager In Training (SMIT)

Developed role to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager position. Participate in a self‑paced, collaborative training program over 16 weeks, with virtual and hands‑on learning experiences. Learners receive support from district leaders, HR business partner, training store manager, and a store manager coach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Actively engage with your leader in key learning experiences to support promotion.
  • Support the store as a management team member and lead in a manner consistent with CVS values and policies.
  • Engage colleagues in support of the company’s purpose of helping people on their path to better health.
  • Lead through effective communication, customer care, merchandising, and inventory management.
Skills & Competencies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Merchandising and sales support capabilities.
  • Inventory and asset management for profitability.
Eligibility & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED (required). Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Retail management experience or CVS supervisory experience.
  • Willingness to accept promotion to Store Manager within the designated market and to transfer between stores within the market.
  • Ability to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs.

  • Pay range: $18.50 - $26.25 per hour.
