We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented professional to join our team in a maintenance role focused on painting and surface finishing within a hotel environment. This position plays an important part in maintaining a clean, polished, and welcoming appearance throughout the property. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, works efficiently with minimal supervision, and contributes to a positive guest experience through excellent upkeep of the facility.
Responsibilities- Prepare interior and exterior surfaces for painting, including cleaning, patching, sanding, and priming as needed.
- Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and fixtures.
- Perform touch-ups and repainting to maintain a consistent, high-quality appearance throughout guest rooms and public areas.
- Protect furniture, flooring, and surrounding surfaces during painting projects.
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks related to surface repair and finishing.
- Inspect completed work to ensure proper coverage, neat edges, and professional results.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to prioritize tasks and complete projects efficiently.
- Respond to painting and cosmetic repair requests in a timely manner.
- Previous experience in painting, maintenance, facilities, or a related trade is preferred.
- Knowledge of painting tools, materials, and surface preparation methods.
- Ability to safely use ladders, hand tools, and common painting equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with others.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift, move, and carry materials and equipment as needed.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends or holidays when necessary.
- Experience working in hospitality, property maintenance, or commercial facilities.
- Familiarity with drywall patching, minor surface repairs, and caulking.
- Knowledge of color matching and finish selection.
- Ability to perform light maintenance tasks beyond painting when needed.
