The Giant Food Internship Program is designed to create a mutually beneficial learning experience for both Giant Food and college students from the communities we serve. Interns gain hands-on business experience, participate in professional development opportunities, and contribute to projects that support Giant Food's strategic priorities while building skills for future career success.

Internship opportunities are available across several business functions, including:

• Marketing
• Merchandising
• Real Estate
• Store Operations / Pharmacy Operations
• Supply Chain

• Develop leadership and professional skills through learning and development opportunities
• Partner with a dedicated mentor who will help guide your professional journey
• Build meaningful relationships with leaders and associates across the organization
• Gain exposure to career opportunities within the grocery and retail industry

• Support initiatives that help deliver an exceptional experience for our customers and communities
• Contribute fresh ideas and perspectives that help drive innovation and business results
• Participate in projects that directly support Giant Food's mission and business objectives

• We collaborate across boundaries to deliver on our strategy and purpose
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on meaningful business projects
• Attend networking events, team-building activities, and company-sponsored events
• Participate in community engagement opportunities that support the neighborhoods we serve
• Learn how different departments work together to achieve business goals

• Gain hands-on experience in a corporate business environment
• Work on projects aligned with your field of study and career interests
• Deliver a final project presentation to the Giant Food Operating Committee and business leader
• Participate in professional workshops and development sessions
• Build communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Demonstrated initiative and willingness to learn
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Hourly Wage: $23.00
The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include, but are not limited to, responsibilities of the role, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable law. This position will be on-site at the Giant Food Headquarters in Hyattsville, MD.
