Elementary ELA Tutor

Smart Start Education, LLC is seeking an Elementary ELA Tutor to provide high-quality literacy support to K-5 students. In this mission-driven, educator-focused role, you will deliver small-group and 1:1 instruction in reading comprehension, phonics, writing, and vocabulary aligned to state standards and school curricula. You will use assessments to diagnose needs, track progress, and communicate results to teachers and coordinators. Collaborate with school partners, adapt lessons to diverse learners, and help improve student outcomes in a flexible, supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver small-group and 1:1 Elementary ELA tutoring aligned to state standards and school curriculum
• Use diagnostic and formative assessments to identify student needs and tailor instruction
• Provide explicit instruction in reading comprehension, vocabulary, writing, and foundational literacy skills
• Track and report student progress to coordinators, teachers, and school partners
• Collaborate with school staff to support intervention plans and testing goals
• Maintain accurate session records and adhere to program schedules and expectations
