Job Description
We are seeking an Electronics Engineer to support our work with the U.S. Army Research Laboratory (ARL) in Adelphi, MD. The Electronics Engineer will design, develop, and test RF and/or microwave systems architecture, components, and products. You will apply engineering theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of highly complex and advanced technical problems on the forefront of new and existing Electronic Warfare (EW) technologies and Software Defined Radio (SDR) sensor systems.
You will plan, conduct, and direct projects and coordinate the efforts of technical support staff in the performance of radar, communication systems, and phased array system designs. The RF Engineer works directly with senior technical personnel, program managers, and external organizations in the planning, oversight, execution, and evaluation of multiple complex RF systems.
HII has been providing engineering and management support to the U.S. Army Research Laboratory for over 20 years, conducting innovative research to provide the Army with affordable enabling technologies in sensors, EW, and RF system designs. + Apply advanced signal processing concepts to problems in RF systems, radar sensing, and communications.
+ Analyze, model, and interpret complex waveforms and sensor data, including developing or adapting algorithms for detection, estimation, classification, and interference mitigation.
+ Support research efforts in areas such as adaptive filtering, spectral analysis, time‑frequency methods, compressive sensing, and statistical signal processing.
+ Conduct exploratory R&D alongside researchers in physics, mathematics, and related science disciplines.
