The in‑house shop mechanic & road tech will analyze, repair, rebuild, and maintain construction equipment such as skid loaders, lifts, paving machines, trench diggers, conveyors, excavators, compressors, and pneumatic tools.

Responsibilities include:

• Diagnose malfunctions and inspect machines for defects.
• Dismantle and reassemble equipment using hoists and hand tools.
• Examine parts for damage or excessive wear with micrometers and gauges.
• Replace defective engines and sub‑assemblies (e.g., transmissions).
• Test overhauled equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
• Weld broken parts and structural members.
• Direct workers who clean parts and assist with assembly/disassembly.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair construction equipment at customer job sites.
• Provide the same duties at the Washington DC Store branch.

• Minimum five years of mechanical experience with various construction equipment.
• Dependable, value‑driven, and career‑oriented individual.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Daytime hours availability.
• Comfortable working in both shop and field environments.

USD $28.00‑$34.00 per hour (based on experience). Full time, first shift (day). Washington Air Compressor Rental Co. is a 94‑year‑old family‑owned business in the DC Metro area.
