What You’ll Be Working On

Supports the company vision by managing a regional domicile of truck drivers, equipment, and associated support staff. The position includes responsibilities of strategic financial planning and budget development, coordination with Sourcing and area store management to ensure proper and timely flow of goods to the stores in a given geography, and may also be responsible for collecting donations for shipment to other areas of the country.

You will direct the management of a warehouse with associated personnel and activities in support of product collection, storage and movement to stores. Compliance with regulatory agencies such as DOT, OSHA, and DOL is required. Our business is customer‑driven and excellent customer service is the highest priority.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily trucking logistical activities, including drivers, dispatch and warehouse as required by the operational plan and budget.
  • Maintain performance, productivity and safety of all trucking employees per company policies for more than one domicile.
  • Manage professional development and advancement of all direct reports, delegating tasks and overseeing results for more than one domicile.
  • Direct safety and training programs; enhance regulatory compliance (DOT, FMCSA, OSHA) for more than one domicile.
  • Handle all employee hiring, training, performance reviews, discipline and termination.
  • Oversee employee time & scheduling, forecasting and allocation for more than one domicile.
  • Investigate and follow up all accidents, injuries and incidents.
  • Schedule and lead ongoing communications with employees.
  • Review and approve daily driver routes and truck assignments.
  • Oversee loading/unloading logistics at the warehouse as applicable.
  • Ensure satisfaction of various customers (stores, donors, collection centers, recycling partners) for more than one domicile.
  • Manage key performance indicators tracking operational performance for more than one domicile.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of data collection and reporting and overall operational data management systems.
  • Report to the Regional Manager on the above and any other assigned duties.
  • Execute established operational processes and procedures to achieve outstanding results for more than one domicile.
  • Ensure facility maintenance and security for more than one domicile.
  • Participate on and lead department or company‑wide projects in support of the company goals and objectives.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in transportation, distribution, or logistics (minimum 7 years’ experience preferred).
  • Solid understanding of DOT regulations.
  • Working knowledge of trucking equipment.
  • Solid understanding of planning and optimizing truck routes, dispatching processes and supporting software.
  • Working knowledge of receiving & shipping procedures and methodology.
