In this role, you'll support preliminary design, estimating, and pricing of new fire sprinkler work while developing client relationships and creating new opportunities throughout your assigned territory.
** This is a relationship-focused sales role supporting fire sprinkler opportunities in the Baltimore, MD region.**## What You'll Be Doing
* Support preliminary design, estimating, and pricing of new fire sprinkler work.
* Develop new client relationships to increase the volume of bid opportunities.
* Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers.
* Attend on-site and virtual bid meetings and walk-throughs.
* Interpret bid documents, plans, and specifications to prepare complete proposals with accurate scopes of work and exclusions.
* Process and complete bid forms, bid proposals, and bid prequalification documents.
* Research subcontractor needs, obtain competitive quotes, and review bid documents, pricing, and proposals with the department Sales Manager.
* Master Oliver's estimating programs, use customer relationship management software, attend customer and company events, support operations, and participate in industry-related organizations.## Qualifications## What We're Looking For### Required
* Mechanical aptitude required.
* Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
* PC skills, including Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
* Highly effective networking, communication, organization, relationship-building, and teamwork skills.
* Must be willing to travel locally and regionally and work with cross-functional teams.
* Must be able to successfully complete any required background check, drug screening, or company compliance requirements.### Preferred
* Five years of fire protection and/or sales experience preferred.
* Four-year college degree preferred.
* Creative and innovative thinking with the ability to work with and manage cross-functional teams preferred.
* Experience reviewing bid documents, plans, specifications, proposals, pricing, customer needs, or sales activity preferred.##
