Salary Range: $1.00 - $1.00 Hourly
The Field Technician performs hands‑on commercial construction work involving waterproofing, façade restoration, concrete repair, and building-envelope systems. Working under the direction of a Foreman, Superintendent, or Project Manager, this position completes assigned tasks safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, manufacturer requirements, and company quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform commercial waterproofing, concrete repair, façade restoration, and related specialty construction work.
- Follow direction from the Foreman, Superintendent, or Project Manager.
- Complete work safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications and manufacturer requirements.
- Assist with jobsite setup, material staging, protection, cleanup, and demobilization.
- Prepare surfaces for waterproofing, coatings, sealants, and concrete repairs.
- Remove damaged concrete, coatings, sealants, and other materials using hand and power tools.
- Perform surface preparation, including grinding, chipping, scraping, cleaning, and pressure washing.
- Assist with concrete forming, reinforcing steel, patching, mortar placement, finishing, and curing.
- Install or assist with waterproofing membranes, coatings, sealants, expansion joints, traffic‑bearing systems, and related materials.
- Mix, transport, and apply construction materials per manufacturer specifications.
- Perform or assist with crack repair, epoxy injection, joint preparation, and sealant installation.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, small equipment, and construction machinery.
- Use scaffolding, aerial lifts, swing stages, rigging, ladders, and other access equipment when trained and authorized.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company property in good working condition.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and hazard‑free.
- Protect adjacent property, occupied buildings, landscaping, vehicles, and pedestrian areas.
- Report equipment issues, unsafe conditions, material shortages, and field concerns to supervision.
- Assist with material deliveries, inventory, and staging.
- Follow company policies, jobsite rules, and general contractor requirements.
- Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, pre‑task planning, and job hazard analyses.
- Assist with punch‑list work, inspections, final cleanup, and project closeout.
- Work collaboratively with field crews, subcontractors, and project partners.

- Traffic‑bearing and pedestrian coating systems
- Plaza, podium, balcony, and pool deck waterproofing
- Parking garage restoration
- Concrete demolition, repair, patching, and resurfacing
- Building façade restoration
- Joint sealants, caulking, and expansion joint installation
- Crack repair and epoxy injection
- Masonry and exterior envelope repairs
- Air and vapor barrier installation
- Protective coatings and sealers
- Surface preparation, including grinding, chipping, and cleaning
- Installation of membranes, primers, mortars, and repair materials
- Follow OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and project‑specific safety requirements.
- Wear required PPE at all times.
- Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and pre‑task planning.
- Inspect tools, ladders, lifts, scaffolding, rigging, and fall‑protection equipment before use.
- Use required fall protection, respiratory protection, hearing protection, and other PPE.
- Operate access equipment only when properly trained and authorized.
- Maintain clean, safe work areas and clear access routes.
- Immediately report injuries, near misses, unsafe conditions, and damaged equipment.
- Stop work and notify supervision when unsafe conditions exist.
- Follow silica‑control, hazardous‑material, respiratory‑protection, and material‑handling procedures.
Skills & Qualifications
- Construction, waterproofing, concrete repair, masonry, roofing, restoration, or related experience preferred.
- Willingness to learn commercial waterproofing, façade restoration, concrete repair, and building‑envelope systems.
