McDonald’s has an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Accounting Operations (Insurance & Retirement). This role leads two specialized teams responsible for accounting operations related to employee benefits—one focused on retirement plan accounting and the other on insurance-related financial processes. The Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, maintain strong internal controls, and coordinate with Global People stakeholders. Reporting to the Director, Accounting Operations, this role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate, timely, and audit-ready financial reporting across both domains.
The candidate is expected to reside in Hyderabad, India.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead retirement accounting oversight by managing retirement plan accounting processes, including contribution tracking, benefit disbursement, and reconciliation of retirement-related financial records to support audit readiness and fiduciary compliance.
Oversee insurance accounting operations related to employee benefits, ensuring accurate documentation and timely execution in accordance with NAIC, SEC, and other applicable regulations.
Serve as the primary finance partner to McDonald’s Global People function, collaborating on financial matters related to insurance and retirement programs, and providing strategic insights to support decision-making.
Implement and monitor internal controls across insurance and retirement workflows, proactively identifying and escalating anomalies, and ensuring alignment with enterprise risk management frameworks.
Optimize operational workflows and team processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across both insurance and retirement accounting functions.
Manage a team of consultants and specialists, providing coaching, guidance, and performance oversight to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and policies.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Insurance, or related field.
Advanced certifications such as CPA, FLMI, or CPCU preferred.
Minimum of 8–12 years of experience in insurance and / or retirement accounting, preferably within HR or employee benefits contexts.
Experience managing teams and coordinating with third-party providers.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and audit requirements related to employee benefits.
English Proficiency (written and verbal IRL Level
4).
Applies strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements.
Leads and coaches teams to achieve high performance.
Optimizes processes for efficiency and accuracy.
Communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Drives continuous improvement across operations.
Builds strong relationships with customers and partners.
Executes operational tasks with precision and consistency.
