Job Overview
The Delivery Head is responsible for overseeing all aspects of delivery, capability building while assisting in pursuits and solution development. This role involves strategic planning, capability development, employee relations, solution building, and ensuring that BU initiatives are executed in alignment with the company’s business objectives. The Delivery Head will lead and manage the team, and work in a matrix environment with account delivery leaders.
This is a Senior Management Level role reporting to Service Line Leader.
Roles and Responsibilities
Delivery/Project/Engagement/Portfolio Management:
Oversee delivery management, ensuring that projects are proceeding accordingly, and that company methodologies & processes are being followed.
Recruit, train and manage a team of Managers who will help in day-to-day management of all engagements being delivered to customers.
Monitor engagement health and resolve escalated issues.
Engage in at risk projects to help develop and execute action plan to resolve project issues.
Identify and resolve gross margin erosion and revenue shortfall issues across projects.
Manage engagement cost and work with managers to reduce costs to bring it in line with the engagement contract.
Set client satisfaction rating expectations with the team and drive towards meeting client satisfaction rating results.
Employee Engagement:
Build a community with a positive morale.
Manage and encourage communications and groups through company social media tools. Manage on-boarding& training programs via Account Delivery Managers and Project Managers.
Conduct performance evaluations and professional development of all direct reports
Promote recognition of employee accomplishments
Solution Offerings & Methodology Development:
Identify, develop, maintain and market BU service offerings and solution sets.
Provide internal and external consulting, expertise and advocacy of the offerings
Manage BU specific methodologies and operational assets
Manage BU Intellectual Property (IP) repository.
Manage the development of reusable BU specific proposal assets.
Pursuit Management:
Drive and support the development of a sales pipeline required to meet BU growth targets.
Review BU proposals to ensure alignment with our client's capabilities, quality of content, and conformance to the methods and practices of our client.
Develop and/or review BU Statements of Work and other contractual documents to ensure delivery excellence.
Provide sales team support and leadership for solutions. Assist sales staff with solutions sales client interactions, and present capabilities to client audience.
Participate in demand generation strategies for the BU.
Develop and manage BU cost estimation tools
Validate that closed contracts & change requests are fully processed
BU Management:
Execute strategy and tactics necessary to meet or exceed financial targets and key performance indicators (KPI).
Review BU gross profit (GP) and escalate variances/issues to BU Leadership.
Participate in annual business planning & budgeting for the BU.
