Peptide chemist

Vitasoft Technologies is a Biopharmaceutical and medicinal R&D laboratory in Genome Valley, Hyderabad seeking a talented Peptide Chemist to join our peptide team at a full-time capacity. This position offers an opportunity to build and lead a peptide development platform to help synthesize target peptide sequences. It will provide significant scientific ownership, hands-on laboratory involvement, and strategic leadership in shaping peptide design, formulation, and purity.

The ideal candidate is a skilled scientist with deep expertise in synthetic organic chemistry & peptide chemistry. They will combine a strong technical background with strategic and data driven decision making. They can thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, bring rigor, adaptability, and attention to detail to every stage of peptide development.

Responsibilities

- Extensive, hands-on chemistry experience with a broad range of solution-phase and solid-phase chemistries on automated platforms.
- Design, synthesize, and optimize potent, stable peptides, and drive the discovery of novel target peptides.
- Ensure project success through analysis and interpretation of complex data (MS, HPLC, NMR) to confirm peptide identity and purity.

Qualifications

- Masters in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry or a related field with 2+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.

Required Skills

- Experience with peptides:
Extensive, hands-on experience with peptide chemistry, including solid phase synthesis, advanced purification techniques, and downstream characterization.
- Analytical techniques:
Proficient in techniques such as HPLC, MS, and NMR.
