Senior Bookkeeper / Accounting Manager
Full-Time | In-Person | Idaho Falls,
Compensation: $60,000+ DOE
We are a locally owned group of established construction, remodeling, and restoration businesses looking for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper / Accounting Manager
.
This is not simply a transaction-entry bookkeeping position.
We need someone who takes ownership of the financial information of our companies and ensures leadership has accurate, current financial visibility every week.
Primary Responsibilities- Maintain accurate books in Quick Books
- Manage accounting across multiple companies
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Bank and credit-card reconciliations
- Construction job costing
- Customer deposits and committed funds
- Vendor and subcontractor balances
- Cash-flow reporting
- Credit-card and loan tracking
- Weekly financial scorecards
- Monthly P&L and Balance Sheet preparation
- Payroll/accounting coordination
- 1099 and year-end preparation
- Coordinate with ownership, management, and CPA
Every Monday, leadership should have an accurate picture of:
- Bank balances
- Available/uncommitted cash
- Accounts receivable and aging
- Accounts payable and aging
- Credit-card balances and upcoming payments
- Major cash commitments
- Revenue and gross-profit performance
- Financial issues requiring management attention
We're looking for someone who is:
- Extremely dependable
- Detail-oriented
- Highly organized
- Strong with Quick Books
- Comfortable with Excel/spreadsheets
- Comfortable managing multiple companies
- Able to meet recurring deadlines without being chased
- Willing to investigate numbers that don't look right
- Comfortable communicating directly with ownership
- Highly trustworthy with confidential financial information
5+ years construction accounting and job-costing experience are strongly preferred.
