Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Tax Associate is an early-career accounting professional who supports high-quality tax preparation, compliance, and client service while building the technical foundation for long-term growth. Working alongside experienced tax professionals, this role gathers and analyzes financial information, prepares tax work papers, conducts research, and helps deliver accurate, timely tax engagements. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented, service-minded professional to establish a strong foundation of tax expertise, contribute to meaningful client outcomes, and grow within a collaborative firm committed to proactive, ethical, and personalized advisory service.

Position is in-office (Ketchum,  Enterprise, OR), with hybrid work assignment potential. Only individuals eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship will be considered.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Gather, organize, and review client financial records and tax documentation.
  • Prepare tax work papers, schedules, and supporting documentation for individual, business, trust, and fiduciary returns.
  • Support preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns under senior team supervision.
  • Conduct basic tax research and summarize findings for review.
  • Verify data accuracy, maintain organized client files, and follow firm documentation standards.
  • Respond to routine client information requests and tax-related inquiries.
  • Support tax planning, advisory engagements, special projects, and process improvements.
  • Track deadline and help ensure timely completion of client engagements.
  • Participate in training, professional development, and ongoing technical education.
