Building Administrator
Job GoalsTo support the delivery of School District 91's curriculum and maximize student achievement. To assure the smooth and efficient operation of the elementary school office so its maximum positive impact can be realized.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Welcomes visitors to the school graciously.
- Places and receives telephone calls, cordially and accurately records messages.
- Orders and maintains supplies as needed under direction of Building Principal.
- Maintains student records.
- Performs bookkeeping tasks.
- Processes incoming and outgoing correspondence as instructed.
- Coordinates appointments and arranges conferences and interviews.
- Prepares state attendance reports.
- Maintains a regular filing system.
- Tracks staff attendance, including substitute teacher records.
- Assists in providing first aid and helps notify parents in case of illness.
- Administers medication to students per physician orders, maintaining medication log.
- Sorts and distributes all incoming mail.
- Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information.
- Has regular and predictable attendance.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Part‑time position scheduled for up to 16.5 hours per week during the school year. Wages according to Classified Salary
Schedule:
Grade 6 $ 17.63 or $18.53 (with a bachelor's degree or 5 years relevant experience) per hour.
This is an "at will" position. Employer or employee may terminate employment at any time, for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. Changes must be authorized in writing by the Board of Trustees of District 91.
EvaluationPerformance evaluated annually by the Building Administrator per Board's policy for classified personnel. Overall physical classification: light duty.
