About the role

We are seeking a Project Manager to drive project execution for our Aalo-X/Aalo Pod experimental reactor at INL
. This role will be responsible for construction project management, including securing bids from general contractors, managing onsite construction activity, maintaining a comprehensive safety program, and ensuring compliance with applicable quality codes and requirements. Additionally, they will manage schedules, align cross‑functional teams, and ensure deliverables are met on time. You will work closely with engineering, regulatory, manufacturing, and DOE/NRC stakeholders to keep our ambitious timelines on track.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive project execution for Aalo‑X at INL, ensuring DOE authorization milestones are met.
  • Lead construction project execution for Aalo‑X, with daily site visits as required.
  • Develop and maintain schedules, budgets, and risk management plans to keep projects moving forward.
  • Align cross‑functional teams, including engineering, licensing, manufacturing, and external partners.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement with DOE, NRC, national labs, and commercial partners.
  • Track and report progress, proactively identifying and resolving roadblocks.
  • Ensure regulatory and technical milestones are met for both Aalo‑X and Aalo‑1 deployment.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of construction project management experience in nuclear, energy, industrial, or advanced civil construction.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly for an owner or serving as an owner’s representative, with responsibility for managing design teams, contractors, consultants, and vendors.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects on aggressive timelines from preconstruction through commissioning and turnover.
  • Experience managing project scope, budget, schedule, risk, procurement, change control, and contractor performance.
  • Experience working with DOE, NRC, or other regulatory bodies is a strong plus.
  • Strong leadership, problem‑solving, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams, make informed decisions, and drive accountability and urgency across teams.
  • PMP or similar certification is a plus.
