Laborer - Idaho Falls

Role Overview

Knife River is looking for hard‑working Laborers to work on projects in Southern Idaho. Responsibilities include cleaning and preparing construction sites, unloading and loading materials, reading plans and specifications, tending machines, and assisting foremen and other construction site workers.

• Assist with manual operations at heavy highway construction sites.
• Participate in demolitions.
• Work with underground utilities.
• Remove trees and debris.
• Read blueprints and designs.
• Control traffic.
• Clear and prepare highway work zones.
• Dig trenches.
• Install sewer, water, and storm drain pipes.
• Pour concrete and/or asphalt onto roads.
• Operate tools and machines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Preferred: 1–2 years of experience working as a laborer in the heavy highway field; we are willing to train the right candidate.

Successful candidates must be hard‑working, dependable, and able to perform manual labor for approximately 90% of their work shift. General construction laborers require physical strength, hand‑eye coordination, endurance, concentration on tasks, and the ability to understand and communicate information.
