This skilled position as a Project Engineer Intern involves the assisting and management as directed by Estimator/Project Managers and/or Supervisors in Yellowstone National Park.
** The position will require the applicant to live within the boundaries of Yellowstone National Park at a remote site to assist the management team in delivering a quality product to the client.** Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
- Actively participate in acquisition and maintenance of permits, City, Vehicle, SWPPP, etc.
- Assist in daily production data entry and maintain projects schedules.
- Add Phases at the request of the Superintendents. Distribute project documents to field.
- Attend pre-construction, project hand-off, cost reviews, and project job progress meetings
- Verify aggregate pricing, quantity, and coding daily
- Process change orders and T&M work tickets as needed by the Project Managers
- Assist with purchase orders, submittals, and project supplier quotes
- Assist estimating team with RFI logs, change orders, and submittals
- Adhere to and be a champion for company safety programs.
- Ensure compliance with all company and governmental regulations.
- Provide training certifications to customers as requested
- Estimate and manage projects assigned by the Operations or Estimating Manager.
- Attend weekly partnering meetings.
- Maintain estimating bidding log and pipeline
- Perform other duties as assigned by Operations, Estimating and/or General Manager.

Education/ExperienceEnrolled in a program for a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or other related field. 0 - 5 years construction experience is preferred with; or an equivalent of education and experience will be accepted
Work Requirements- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. .
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute, rate, ration, percent, land to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to type and use keyboards accurately and have knowledge of Database software.
