Position Overview

LP Propane is currently seeking a Customer Service Representative. This position is responsible for customer service, receptionist, and account processing activities.

LP is a local propane distributor servicing residential and commercial customers in Southeast Idaho, Southwest Colorado, and Northeast Colorado. The company has been in business since 1992 and delivers tanks ranging from 100 to 60,000 gallons.

Responsibilities
  • Processing customer orders:
    Receive and process propane orders via phone, e‑mail, or walk‑ins; relay orders to drivers using Microsoft Teams; update and correct customer and account information.
  • Payment collection:
    Collect and enter propane payments for phone and walk‑in customers; assist customers with billing and account questions.
  • Data entry:
    Enter required information into the system to ensure accurate inventory tracking; collect, enter, and process new customer information and paperwork; manage different internal systems; update and correct data for accuracy.
  • Additional duties:
    Receive and direct visitors and inbound phone calls to the correct individuals in the office; file paperwork digitally; make outbound calls; assist with outbound sales calls; collaborate with other departments.
Qualifications
  • One to two years of experience in office management, customer service, accounting, or a related area.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong computer skills and a sound understanding of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to learn company systems and processes.
  • Adherence to the company's values and ethical expectations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to pass a federal drug test.
