Substitute Teacher / Aide

On Call Services:
On Call between 1 to 8 Months.

Locations:
Aberdeen, Burley, Caldwell, Gooding, Idaho Falls, Mountain Home, Osgood, Twin Falls, Weiser.

• Assist teacher with planning and conducting classroom instruction and activities, encouraging growth of language, social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and communication skills.
• Assist in daily health checks of children and in conducting and monitoring developmental screening.
• Assist in implementing Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) for families.
• Monitor the progress of individual children.
• Supervise classroom activities in the absence of the teacher.
• Maintain clear, reasonable, consistent, age‑appropriate rules and expectations for children.
• Multi‑task, manage time, meet deadlines, remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Maintain confidentiality of CC Idaho clients and records.
• Perform all duties in accordance with CC Idaho policies, procedures, safety practice, and Head Start Performance Standards.
• May perform duties of bus monitor once trained.

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must pass physical examination and background checks, including state day care clearance.
• Must obtain clearance of Tuberculosis.
• Must obtain Pediatric First Aid CPR.

Preferred:

• Ability to read, speak, and write in both English and Spanish in a business setting.

• Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to operate a motor vehicle, manual and powered tools, reach with hands and arms, climb, and balance; may need to smell.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

• Exposed to moving mechanical parts, power tools and equipment, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock; works in high places and is exposed to outdoor weather conditions; exposed to traffic hazards; noise level is usually moderate.
