Instructors are expected to keep their course material relevant to their assigned subject matter and maintain standard classroom protocols and procedures. Instructors will coordinate with WTCE staff to develop course content and schedule classes according to instructor availability and regional need. At times, additional technical expertise or certification/licensure may be required to teach particular courses. Instructors will adhere to State and Federal guidelines for proper procedures, practices, and operations when required by subject matter.
* Provides technical support and/or instruction for assigned WTCE courses related to candidate's particular field of expertise.
* May be contracted to develop training material (course outlines, lesson plans, hands-on activities, etc.) according to regional needs and educational learning outcomes.
* Provides community education and/or professional development instruction and/or contracted training as experts in their field.
* Regularly updates and maintains instructional material.
* Tracks and records student outcomes such as grades and attendance in WTCE management systems as needed per course.
* Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
* Technical expertise or certification/licensure as required.
* Must submit a resume and cover letter describing one or more of the following in detail:
* Teaching experience and/or courses previously taught
* Areas of expertise
* Additional skills you feel qualified to teach (based on experience).
* Incumbent must reside in the state of Idaho (Incumbent must reside in Idaho (Currently CEI doesn't sponsor Visas)
* Previous teaching experience in Workforce Training courses.
* Bilingual (Spanish).

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.
On-site work is essential and regular predictable attendance is required. Employees may be required to work at occasional events and handle tasks outside of regular working hours.
Background Investigations:
Employment at College of Eastern Idaho will be contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background investigation and may require a credit and/or motor vehicle background investigation depending on the position. Please refer to Policy 225:
