We are looking for a proven leader to join our team, to drive materials manufacturing excellence, and help push the boundaries of what’s possible.
The Opportunity:
If you've retired from a glorious career in engineering or manufacturing and still love getting your hands dirty, fixing what breaks, jerry-rigging clever solutions, building fixtures on the fly, and making things work better, this could be perfect. Bring your decades of real-world experience to a small, agile company working on cutting‑edge advanced materials. The work is practical, hands‑on, and directly helpful, no long meetings, just meaningful contributions on a schedule that fits your life.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing process issues, equipment failures, and production bottlenecks with quick, effective fixes.
- Jump in to repair, modify, or build whatever the team needs to keep things running smoothly.
- Share battle-tested insights to reduce defects, improve quality, and increase consistency.
- Help put in place and keep running the necessary systems to capture and analyze key production and manufacturing data to spot trends and make smarter decisions.
- Collaborate directly with our small team in an open, no-nonsense environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 40+ years of hands-on engineering and professional experience in manufacturing, process improvement, maintenance, or related fields.
- Outstanding with your hands, you can fix just about anything that breaks, jerry-rig solutions when parts aren't available, and build or modify equipment on the spot.
- Deep practical know-how from years of making things work in real production or shop environments.
- A natural troubleshooter who thrives on diagnosing problems fast and getting creative to solve them.
- Comfortable jumping in to help the manufacturing team with your incredible wealth of experience and ability to build, repair, and improvise.
Must be a U.S. person (naturalized citizen or qualifying under ITAR/EAR definitions) and eligible to participate in federally funded programs involving Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
Successful completion of background check and drug testing required prior to employment.
